Ok so it’s like a really bad Nelly song at the Dew Tour today. Yup, I made a “It’s Getting Hot In (H)ere” reference. It was 115 degrees out on the vert ramp today…give me a break. I’m dehydrated and slightly delirious.
Day two of my trip to the Dew Tour was to further my story on Andy Macdonald. I wanted to talk to some of the other skaters about Andy and get their perspective on Andy Mac as a pioneer for vert skating and what he means to a younger generation of skater.
Jon and I headed over to the Vert ramp for an afternoon practice session to catch up with a few of skating’s finest.
Then it was off to the Bowl Finals to film Andy Mac as he attempted to become the first ever Dew Tour Bowl champ. Unfortunately he didn’t finish in the top three, but I was happy to see Bucky Lasek take 2nd place in front of his hometown crowd behind an amazing performance by Pedro Barros.
Caught up with skate legend Bob Burnquist after the event, and then skipped the free Kid Cudi concert in favor of some much needed grub with the crew.
Great day overall.
Pics will be updated in a later post. I’m to damn sweaty and tired to go through these pics right now.
Vert Finals tomorrow. Stoked.
