For those of you who don’t know, I am obsessed with Storm Troopers. Yes, I like Star Wars, but not at a “code red” level of geek. I feel that I have a healthy love and appreciation for the galaxy far, far, away, but those original storm trooper uniforms are just bad ass! (Ok, so maybe I am a geek. Don’t judge. I see you judging.)

After getting up at 4 AM this morning to hit the road from Boston to Ocean City, MD, I have finally arrived. It is now 5:30. That 13 hour journey was brutal! Missed the ferry from Jersey to Delaware and had to drive around the bay, then got caught in a massive traffic jam after an 18-wheeler flipped over on Rt. 1 in Delaware. It was all worth it now that I am here. Now off to meet up with skate legend Andy Macdonald for an interview. Andy is a Boston native and is now a 21 time X-game gold medalist. This interview is the reason why I came all the way down here. Andy was kind enough to agree to let me film this feature on him. Off to the OC boardwalk to meet up with Andy Mac.

Andy Macdonald is a legend in the world of professional sports. Yes, that is a bold statement, but I feel very comfortable saying it. You may not realize it as you start to read this blog post, but by the time your eyes have scrolled across the forthcoming words on this screen you’ll understand why I’m more than willing to call Andy Macdonald a legend and an athlete.

Ok so it’s like a really bad Nelly song at the Dew Tour today. Yup, I made a “It’s Getting Hot In (H)ere” reference. It was 115 degrees out on the vert ramp today…give me a break. I’m dehydrated and slightly delirious.

Tom Tucker: “Now to Ollie Williams with the weather. What do you have for us Ollie?’

Ollie Williams: “IT’S GONNA RAIN!”

Tom Tucker: “Thanks Ollie.”

That pretty much sums up the final day at the Dew Tour. (That little script is awesome for two reasons. First, it’s a Family Guy reference, and secondly “Ollie” is a skateboarding reference and a Family Guy character rolled into one.)
